Mechanical Design Engineer
Out of the blue, a lady just simply called and arranged me up for an interview the following day for the Mechanical Design Engineer position. Stunned and confused at first. Then straight I asked her the most obvious question:
Me: Where did you get my number and details?
Lady: Oh, we got it from Jobstreet. You didn't apply.
Me: Oh.. ( wtf? )
Lady: Ya, so I'll send the Interview details to your email. timonloh@hotmail is it?
Me: Yes
Lady: Thanks. (hanged up straight)

And so I went back home after work. Slotted in my certificates and required documents into a file. Check out their company's website. Update my resume and partial transcript, then printed them out with Motorola’s printer the following day.
The big day.
Arrived at the company 15 minutes earlier and asked to fill in some forms.
Filled in my expected salary:
RM3000.00
Aim for the sky rite?
Next, proceed straight to the interview room and given 20 minutes for a technical test. In the name of awesomeness, I passed up an answer-less paper back with many unrelated drawings/formulas!! And finally the interviewer, Mr Wong stepped in.
I meant. The other Wong.
And so the interview session begins:
Tell me about yourself..
Then ended up with:
Please allow me to escort you out of the building..

Actually that's the reason why u uploaded your resume onto jobstreet right..so that interested companies can contact u directly after wiewing it online without having u to apply for the position ma. :)
But congrats! That's a really high pay for an engineer in Penang (although I don't really know Mechanical Engineering's starting pay though..)

Arm.. Thats my old resume used during my internship hunting. So, pretty weird when they offer a permanent job instead. Plus asking me for interview in such short notice is kinda shocking.
*Dun think I'll get anywhere near 3k if they are seriously considering me. Hahahaha
