Memoir Of [ a ] Scout... [ 1 ]

COMBINED TRAINING CAMP 2000

It's been 9 years... NINE freaking years!!!
yet these photos never fail to put a smile on my face...
.
I guess some memories are just far too great to be left behind..
far too sweet to be forgotten.. and far too crazy to act normal again..

So before any of these memories starts to fades away..

It was fashion.

took two days to totally complete it and the result :
no time for other gadgets.

You can actually go inside and climb up to a higher floor in it.

Other achievements from Poseidon Patrol

-successfully found lots of sponsor for coloured spray and glue stick

- Performed a sketch entitle "the teikor and the bra"

Science & Maths [ in ] Bahasa Malaysia?

Is there really a need to reconsider changing the teaching language of both subjects back to Bahasa Malaysia?

I mean, there is No argument, debate or what so ever needed. English must be the language when it comes to education wise. Let's just take a look globally : Most researches, book publishes and latest technologies are all being transferred and shared around using one common language, English. The top 20 universities in the world ranking chart are in the states. Even the Internet ( source of many educational materials for Universities in Malaysia ) uses English as it's main language to connect the world.

So why translate the language that gave birth to many possibilities? Why wait 3-5 years for a book to be fully translated to our National language? Why is there a need to stop the younger generations for 1st hand education, knowledge and technologies?

The bottom line is : After all these years we tried to perform like a world class country, we still can't deny the fact that we are 20 years behind any developed country. So to tighten the gap, Malaysia must develop faster than them ( yes, faster than US, Japan and other 1st world countries ). *correct me if I'm wrong

By the way,
-Even universities in South Korea are beginning
to use English to educate their students, so
there must be a rational reason behind it.

Repeat after me : MALAYSIA BOLEH!

WORKED MORE THAN 2 DAYS
SPEND MORE THAN RM20
MADE A TOTAL OF 5 SAMPLES
USE PENKNIFE TILL MY THUMB's INJURED
COVERED MY HOUSE WITH SNOWS
SLEPT AT 5 am TO FINISH OFF THE PRODUCT

AND FOR WAT?

FOR 2.78 FREAKING SECONDs!!!
way below our testing time..

What a result after all the effort we put in.
It was just pure legendary time wasting + disappointment + unfair + silliness

Awww... and the funny part was I played by the rules while hoping that my lecturer would disqualify more than half of them for adding all sort of extra shit in their planes. What a naive and unlogical thinking~~ AND YES, this is a plane making competition with marks under our assessment. Fly longer = more marks.

Just Imagine, My plane can fly 4 to 5 seconds on ground level
but only 2.87 sec up there!!

By the way, I only had one trow while some others can do it over and over again for better time.. If only my skin is darker~~~ way darker

BUT honestly : It wasn't all that bad...

At lease it was a nice experience and I
had plenty of fun in the process in
making my 1st ever polystyrene plane.

Marley & [ me ]

After knowing it doing decently well in the box office last Christmas..
I was expecting to have a good laugh..
-since Owen Wilson is inside-

but guess what?
This movie actually offers a lot more than that

The worse dog ever

I'm not sure if this movie is suitable for everyone.. But I don't think any dog's lover should miss this great flick. It's not just entertaining but it also delivered a strong message about life, marriage, carrier and even death. Surely the ending is painful to watch but it was necessary. Thumbs Up for the effort!!

Woohoo~~ I'm back from Genting!!
"Finally had my chance to go there after more than 10 years"
and it was real :

*~*FUN*~ *
This machine alone is enough to make this trip worthwhile

A total of 18 of us went to this trip last Saturday and 9 of us extend our stay for another night till Monday. So.... 3 days 2 nights for me!!! Hahaha.. Overally this trip was a success as I managed to accomplish all my missions ( except the RM1000 target ) and most importantly, spend some valuable time with my Mum (Awwwww... sweet rite? ) LOL.

Summary :

*Bought a new pair of nike shoe worth RM45
*Went in and out of the casino more than 10 times
( win/loss : RM65 > -35 > -45 > 0 > 10 )
So total : ++ RM10 ( way off target still )
*Learned how to shout : PICTURE! PICTURE! PICTURE!
*Ate Burger King for the 1st time
*Go Enjoy at the Theme Park
*Ate 3 out of 4 maggiee cups I brought to there
*Had lotsa fun with my friends there
*Met Carmen Chong in the casino!! bad girl~~
*Sneak in 6 people into the restaurant for free buffet
*Watch The Legend Of Chung Li
And Finally
*Plan For Next Trip : TIGER SHOW ( BANGKOK )
