Death [ race ]

No story. No value. No nothing.
Just RACE till Death

Good directing, good cast and great action packed racing! Better than expected. At 1st i was worrying about the camera angle during the race but the director really did a great job.

How was it?

It is not just fast & furious. It's Deadly. I really like the race idea which looks pretty much like computer games but it's bring to life in a realistic kind of way. The effects and stuns is superb and the movie is full of intense and brutal yet entertaining moments. Not as draggy and complicated as the almighty batman and it'll definitely keep your eyes open. This movie is all about cars and guns, so be ready to be blast away -swt

Goodbye [ beijing ]

If you're thinking the performance for the Opening Ceremony is their limit, let's check out Beijing's Olympic Closing Ceremony 2008.

I was able to watch it live in Penang just before I took the bus back to Pahang ( 24 August ) and their final performance was truly amazing! I truly respect every single effort from China to make sure this Olympic will be remembered in centuries to come. This is truly the greatest Olympic Games ever held in history ( according to newspaper and Internet ^^ ).

Pictures from the closing ceremony :

Fire crackers in the sky

London's performance during the ceremony : Beckham was there too

More crackers : viewed from the inside

My favourate performance during the night : the acrobatic moves around the tower in formation creating all sort of beautiful images.

A total of 204 countries ( heard from TV, i think ) participate in this historical event and for the first time, China top the medal chart beating America! The next Olympic Games will be held in London. Let's hope Malaysia will do better the next time ^^

One HOPE, One DREAM

Other News :

- Malaysia new badminton head coach is now Misbun Sidek.

- Yesterday Beckham said that he might coach the Great Britain Football team kononya.

- I'll be back in Penang during the Raya's holiday ^^

Mummy [ 3 ]

So damn disappointing! Doesn't live up to the first two at all. It needs to be darker and scarier! I was really looking forward to see some Jet Li's moves but but but.. HAIH

How was it?

It's bad enough if you're a Mummy's fan. They mess up a few stuff which is enough to bring down the movie to another level. There are still some entertaining moments in the film, but it lacks a good/evil/tense climax (i feel). Yeti should never appear in the movie and actor like Jet Li must NEVER have super powers!! NEVER EVER!!!

As usual, pictures from the movie :
Jet Li as the "MUMMY"
.
Brendan and his "son" Luke Ford
.
The Terracotta Army
.
Our very own Dato' Michelle Yeoh as the immortal witch
.
And finally, Brendan's trademark expression. ArrrHH!!!
.

OTHER NEWS :

- This movie is rated [ B- ] by yahoo users and [ C- ] by critics.

- Simon says : Won't blame you if you wanna wait for the DVD. haha..

- I'm going to watch "MIRROR" later!!! wish me luck~~!!

Round [ 2 ].com

I'm not into politics. But I do love nonsense. Yesterday our Chief Minister, Mr. Lim Guan Eng took on Dato Kor Tsu Koon for a debate. Their topic : Land Scam.

The debate started damn boringly until it gets quite personal. You guys should know how Khor Tsu Koon ever talks : he's capable of stopping Aedes for good by putting all mosquito to sleepzzzzz.....

Both of them never actually answer their questions the whole session, instead they keep repeating their answers and shooting each other like kids. During the 3rd or 4th round, things kinda spice up a little and for the 1st time i seriously enjoy seeing Tsu Koon in action!!! That fella really damn cute when he's punching the air and raising his voice. With the combination of big nose, blur eyes, unconvincing voice, noob hair and serious face, i just couldn't help it but laugh like MAD!! Surprisingly, i didn't feel as if Tsu Koon lose in the debate. It's fairly a draw to me.

* Overally, this debate is so unprofessionally done. Lots of craps and little facts. Compared to Anwar and Shebery, this two look abit like a clown.

Some interesting crap from Tsu Koon :
- 99.9% efficiency from the previous state government because out of 10,000 land files, only 5 got problems.

- Yet another "shoot before you look" cases by Mr. Lim Guan Eng. Most things he says is always half correct.

- Saya "gentleman"

WALL . [e]

Looking for a fun and cute movie? This must be the one!!! I've never expect the story line to be this interesting since the trailer only show the "earth" scene. At first I was kinda prepared to be disappointed but it turn out the other way round BABY!!

How was it?

Very very cute! ( i know it sounds gay ) but it's really cute. WALL-E is the kind of character that everyone would love! His cheeky, lovable and sweet personality really makes me fall for him instantly ( gay again ). The starting part might be kinda boring/slow cause there is no conversation involved but i think it's necessary to make us understand the character and situation better. Other than that, this movie is way better than any roller coaster ride! Go in the cinema with a heart ready to be entertain and you'll be ^^

Pictures from the movie
( the visual/animation is superb) :

Wall-E uses Solar Energy

That fella really damn "syoik sendiri"

Wall-E meets a new "friend"

One of the sweetest moment in the movie ^^

OTHER NEWS :

- Wall- E is rated [ A- ] by critics and yahoo users.

- The Dark Knight ( batman ) is now ranked 2nd in the all time Box Office behind Titanic with a cumulative gross up to 471 millions in US alone. ( Titanic - 600 millions ).

- Simon says : Wall - E : A must watch CLEAN and entertaining movie.

Lose, draw and [ win ] !!

What a day yesterday (17 August 2008 ) was. To make sure it'll always to be remembered, I've sum it up into 3 categories. Let's take a look who's the winner and loser :

LOSER :
LEE CHONG WEI

Chong Wei: is my face blur enough for u ?

ADUIHAI!! Our beloved Malaysia hero turn zero in the final showdown with China's Lin Dan. Losing 12-21, 8-21 in a final is kinda sad.... SaaAAddd since he is the only hope we got in the Olympic for gold.

Lin Dan : I'm in heaven

*Yet Chong Wei still earn himself a well deserved silver medal and RM300,000 from our " Malaysia Boleh " government.

DRAW : MANCHESTER UNITED

MU is being held 1-1 by Newcaster in the opening match! Not really a surprise actually, since MU is without so many star players for this game. My unlikely hero fetcher score the equalizer for us straight after the opening gol from Newcaster's Martin. By the way, MU's youngster Fraizer Campbell looks promising.

MU's Wayne Rooney during the match

*To those MU fans out there : don't worry, MU always start the season slow before PUMPing it all the way to the top. ^^

WINNER : ME ^^

Camera man : Chai Wei Chiat

I went for paintball yesterday morning and our team won 2 out of 3 rounds. Although I kena 1 head shot ( no pain ) and another one on my chest ( this one pain ) during the game, i did not sustain any injuries at all! It was fun, tiring and stupid since i crawled around 50m in the longkang/tunnel like sohai only to find myself trapped in the enemy's base ( regretted ). The final round was "robocop" game, which means : U Can't DIE even there are 50 bullets in your head!!

From left: Tek Tek, Kong gene, Boon Yoong, Racheal, Wei Chiat, Simon, Wai Kuen, Teik's Gf, Teik Chung, Chun Tiek, Siong Chin and Siong's Gf

*The place is near Bukit Gambir ( Penang ) but i don't recommend you guys to come and play here. It's more expensive and the owner is damn not honest.

Other news :

- I'll be in Penang until this Sunday ( 24 August 2008 )

- MU next match will be against Portsmouth ( 25 August 2008 )

And again,
Lets enjoy some beautiful
pictures of the event :

And finally my favourate picture of all :

Today is a good day!
Today is a legendary day!!

Today is the day that the well anticipated Olympic Games will officially k
ick off in CHINA!!!

The no. 8 is pronounce as "phart" in Cantonese which also means "farrrrt" ahhhHHH ( RICH )!!! Chinese people have alway believed that the no. 8 can bring good fortune to us. This is the reason why China chose this date to held the Olympic games.

*sound effect * Cheng! Cheng! Cheng!
Official Logo : Dancing Beijing

The opening ceremony will be held in Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed "Bird Nest" which have a sitting capacity of over 90 000 people. The opening ceremony will begin at 8.pm ( China eh time ) today and there will be performance by well established artist such as Celine Dion and Jay Chau. The Olympic slogan this time is One World, One Dream which is to call upon the world to unite the Olympic spirit within!

As usual,
here are some pictures about what I'm talking about :

Beijing National Stadium : Bird Nest

Beijing National Aquatic Center : Water Cube

Inside the Water Cube

Do expect some crackers in the opening ceremony :

kind of cool rite?

The stadium is on fire!

I like this the most

And if you're going to China for the games,
please be extra careful with signs :

Wow where?

Why so serious?

Then feed with what?

So China,
ARE U READY??

Other News :

- Some Chinese sites are pointing out that the no.8 actually brings bad luck rather than good.

- The snow storm struck on 1-25. The numbers added together: 1+2+5 = 8.

- The Tibet rioting broke out on 3-14: 3+1+4 = 8.

- Finally the earthquake hit on 5-12: 5+1+2 = 8. The day the earthquake struck marked 88 days to go before the Olympics open on Aug. 8.
