Titanic [ was ] cursed?

The tale of the cursed mummy case
In 1910, An Egyptologist Douglas Murray bought a mummy case from an odd looking American. Knowing that this might be his greatest finding in his carrier, Murray quickly writes the man a check but the it was never cashed out. The American died that night.

3 days later Murray's gun explodes blowing off most of his right hand and to prevent infections, his harm has to be amputated above his elbow. During the shipping process to England, it was reported that suddenly 2 of his close friends and servants died. Feeling uneasy, he left the chest to his lady friend. The lady suffered a strange disease and her mum's death follows.

The chest is then send back to Murray and quickly he donated it to the British Museum. It did not end here, the photographer and the director of the museum who handed the case end up dead then secretly the museum decided to give it to a prestigious New York Museum. But the case never reached it's destination, for it sunk to the bottom of the sea along with around 1500 souls in April 1912. The name of ship was of cause, the H.M.S Titanic.
