[9.0] Richter Scale

11.3.11
"One of the worst earthquakes in recorded history has hit the
world’s most well-prepared, well-trained nations"

Estimated death toll of over 10,000
Reported nearly 8,000 people still missing
434000 were made homeless

Evacuees from radiation leaking from the crippled ...

But yet.
Instead of feeling all sad and sorrow

I'm amazed and inspired by how they reacted and work together at a time like this

Hang in there Japan
The sun will rise and rise again

Titanic [ was ] cursed?

It was also called the unsinkable ship

Herm... maybe its yesterday's news!'
but better late than never..

The tale of the cursed mummy case
In 1910, An Egyptologist Douglas Murray bought a mummy case from an odd looking American. Knowing that this might be his greatest finding in his carrier, Murray quickly writes the man a check but the it was never cashed out. The American died that night.

3 days later Murray's gun explodes blowing off most of his right hand and to prevent infections, his harm has to be amputated above his elbow. During the shipping process to England, it was reported that suddenly 2 of his close friends and servants died. Feeling uneasy, he left the chest to his lady friend. The lady suffered a strange disease and her mum's death follows.

The chest is then send back to Murray and quickly he donated it to the British Museum. It did not end here, the photographer and the director of the museum who handed the case end up dead then secretly the museum decided to give it to a prestigious New York Museum. But the case never reached it's destination, for it sunk to the bottom of the sea along with around 1500 souls in April 1912. The name of ship was of cause, the H.M.S Titanic.

Pyramids [ mysteries ]

Did You Know?

Today : We still doesn't have the technology to duplicate any of those pyramids but somehow it was build by people who lived more than 3000 years ago.The pyramids were built in such a way that they line up with certain stars and planets at certain times.
( watch transformers 2 if ya don't believe it )

Hmm.. I can't help but wonder :
JUST HOW ON EARTH DID THE EGYPTIAN BUILD THEM?

The pyramids of Giza

After minutes of my very own research around the internet, there are a few possibilities :
1) Someone travel back from the future to help
2) They are able to harness mind power to move 10 ton stones
3) Aliens
4) They are freaking smarter and more advance than us!!!

HAH! Come back to your senses!!

Stars Alignment :
The brightest of the 3 stars of Orian's belt

OKAY
All we are certain is that Pyramids of ancient Egypt were built as burial tombs for Egyptian royalty as they believed that when you die, you take it all with you. So all the pure gold stuff, treasures and personal private toys will all be placed inside.

The layout around the Pyramics...

Another thing we must know is that there are still countless areas in the pyramids which are yet to be explored and from what I heard : Secret Chambers and unforgivable curses!! Just like what's in Harry Potter. COol Huh?

NOW
Who wants to go to Egypt with me?
Kidding

Next post will most probably about
the connection between Titanic and Egyptian curses
STAY tune..

Science & Maths [ in ] Bahasa Malaysia?

.
Is there really a need to reconsider changing the teaching language of both subjects back to Bahasa Malaysia?

I mean, there is No argument, debate or what so ever needed. English must be the language when it comes to education wise. Let's just take a look globally : Most researches, book publishes and latest technologies are all being transferred and shared around using one common language, English. The top 20 universities in the world ranking chart are in the states. Even the Internet ( source of many educational materials for Universities in Malaysia ) uses English as it's main language to connect the world.

So why translate the language that gave birth to many possibilities? Why wait 3-5 years for a book to be fully translated to our National language? Why is there a need to stop the younger generations for 1st hand education, knowledge and technologies?

The bottom line is : After all these years we tried to perform like a world class country, we still can't deny the fact that we are 20 years behind any developed country. So to tighten the gap, Malaysia must develop faster than them ( yes, faster than US, Japan and other 1st world countries ). *correct me if I'm wrong

By the way,
-Even universities in South Korea are beginning
to use English to educate their students, so
there must be a rational reason behind it.

Repeat after me : MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Ahmad did [ it ] Again

This racist maniac just don't know when to stop, does he?
Instead of helping the helpless PM/UMNO/BN, this fella backfired his own party again and again.

His victim this time : Dr Koh Tsu Koon

( I actually damn kesian him, Penang people don't want him, Lim Guan Eng dulan him and now UMNO f*** him kau kau )

Datuk Ahmad Ismail this time call upon Gerakan to leave Barisan Nasional and asked Dr Koh to be stripped down as the state barisan chairman. He also blames Dr koh for the loss of Barisan Nasional in the sate during the general election earlier in March ( woohoo... ) .

He then made one of the lamest statement i ever read about Dr Kor : "He is a leader who is really good at tai chi but I would also like to remind everyone not to forget that the Malays are equally good at silat" ( swt =.=").

Some of the MCB statements from Ahmad Ismail :

"If the Chinese can question the special rights of the Malays, the Malays can also question the citizenship of the Chinese."

"Consider this a warning from the Malays," Ahmad said. "The patience of the Malays has a limit. Do not push us against the wall, for we will be forced to turn back and push the Chinese for our own survival"

"I urge the Chinese not to become like the Jewish in America, where it is not enough that they control the economy, but they also want to dominate politics"

And guess what?
After all this nonsense, our PM is still trying to play nice to him *thumbs up*.

Do Not Deserve [ equal ] Rights?

Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail

KNS !! This fella really have balls, claiming that the Chinese community are "immigrants who do not deserve equal rights" ( let's see when those balls are going to explode ). If their chief is this racist, i believe his supporter ( UMNO ) is even worse since they voted for him RIGHT? Not only he refuse to apologise, he still feels that the remarks he made is correct.

This is what he said yesterday : "Why should I apologise? I didn’t do anything wrong. Those who do wrong should apologise but I haven’t done anything” WTF! ( Najib actually apologise on behalf of him yesterday, i think : GOOD JOB).

It's actually kind of funny.
After 51 years of independence, exposure and knowledge, Malaysia still have leaders like him. BRAVO BRAVO!

UNDILAH BN!
then it's the END!

Goodbye [ beijing ]

If you're thinking the performance for the Opening Ceremony is their limit, let's check out Beijing's Olympic Closing Ceremony 2008.

I was able to watch it live in Penang just before I took the bus back to Pahang ( 24 August ) and their final performance was truly amazing! I truly respect every single effort from China to make sure this Olympic will be remembered in centuries to come. This is truly the greatest Olympic Games ever held in history ( according to newspaper and Internet ^^ ).

Pictures from the closing ceremony :

Fire crackers in the sky

London's performance during the ceremony : Beckham was there too

More crackers : viewed from the inside

My favourate performance during the night : the acrobatic moves around the tower in formation creating all sort of beautiful images.

A total of 204 countries ( heard from TV, i think ) participate in this historical event and for the first time, China top the medal chart beating America! The next Olympic Games will be held in London. Let's hope Malaysia will do better the next time ^^

One HOPE, One DREAM

Other News :

- Malaysia new badminton head coach is now Misbun Sidek.

- Yesterday Beckham said that he might coach the Great Britain Football team kononya.

- I'll be back in Penang during the Raya's holiday ^^

Round [ 2 ].com

I'm not into politics. But I do love nonsense. Yesterday our Chief Minister, Mr. Lim Guan Eng took on Dato Kor Tsu Koon for a debate. Their topic : Land Scam.

The debate started damn boringly until it gets quite personal. You guys should know how Khor Tsu Koon ever talks : he's capable of stopping Aedes for good by putting all mosquito to sleepzzzzz.....

Both of them never actually answer their questions the whole session, instead they keep repeating their answers and shooting each other like kids. During the 3rd or 4th round, things kinda spice up a little and for the 1st time i seriously enjoy seeing Tsu Koon in action!!! That fella really damn cute when he's punching the air and raising his voice. With the combination of big nose, blur eyes, unconvincing voice, noob hair and serious face, i just couldn't help it but laugh like MAD!! Surprisingly, i didn't feel as if Tsu Koon lose in the debate. It's fairly a draw to me.

* Overally, this debate is so unprofessionally done. Lots of craps and little facts. Compared to Anwar and Shebery, this two look abit like a clown.

Some interesting crap from Tsu Koon :
- 99.9% efficiency from the previous state government because out of 10,000 land files, only 5 got problems.

- Yet another "shoot before you look" cases by Mr. Lim Guan Eng. Most things he says is always half correct.

- Saya "gentleman"

Lose, draw and [ win ] !!

What a day yesterday (17 August 2008 ) was. To make sure it'll always to be remembered, I've sum it up into 3 categories. Let's take a look who's the winner and loser :

LOSER :
LEE CHONG WEI

Chong Wei: is my face blur enough for u ?

ADUIHAI!! Our beloved Malaysia hero turn zero in the final showdown with China's Lin Dan. Losing 12-21, 8-21 in a final is kinda sad.... SaaAAddd since he is the only hope we got in the Olympic for gold.

Lin Dan : I'm in heaven

*Yet Chong Wei still earn himself a well deserved silver medal and RM300,000 from our " Malaysia Boleh " government.

DRAW : MANCHESTER UNITED

MU is being held 1-1 by Newcaster in the opening match! Not really a surprise actually, since MU is without so many star players for this game. My unlikely hero fetcher score the equalizer for us straight after the opening gol from Newcaster's Martin. By the way, MU's youngster Fraizer Campbell looks promising.

MU's Wayne Rooney during the match

*To those MU fans out there : don't worry, MU always start the season slow before PUMPing it all the way to the top. ^^

WINNER : ME ^^

Camera man : Chai Wei Chiat

I went for paintball yesterday morning and our team won 2 out of 3 rounds. Although I kena 1 head shot ( no pain ) and another one on my chest ( this one pain ) during the game, i did not sustain any injuries at all! It was fun, tiring and stupid since i crawled around 50m in the longkang/tunnel like sohai only to find myself trapped in the enemy's base ( regretted ). The final round was "robocop" game, which means : U Can't DIE even there are 50 bullets in your head!!

From left: Tek Tek, Kong gene, Boon Yoong, Racheal, Wei Chiat, Simon, Wai Kuen, Teik's Gf, Teik Chung, Chun Tiek, Siong Chin and Siong's Gf

*The place is near Bukit Gambir ( Penang ) but i don't recommend you guys to come and play here. It's more expensive and the owner is damn not honest.

Other news :

- I'll be in Penang until this Sunday ( 24 August 2008 )

- MU next match will be against Portsmouth ( 25 August 2008 )

Grand [ opening ]

A stadium filled with 91 000 of people, a total of 15 000 performers, unlimited fireworks ( made in China ma ). The XXIX Olympic Games opening ceremony is by far the biggest with more than 100 head of state and government attending the event!

And again,
Lets enjoy some beautiful
pictures of the event :

And finally my favourate picture of all :

[ 08.08.08 ]

Today is a good day!
Today is a legendary day!!

and
Today is the day that the well anticipated Olympic Games will officially k
ick off in CHINA!!!

The no. 8 is pronounce as "phart" in Cantonese which also means "farrrrt" ahhhHHH ( RICH )!!! Chinese people have alway believed that the no. 8 can bring good fortune to us. This is the reason why China chose this date to held the Olympic games.

*sound effect * Cheng! Cheng! Cheng!
Official Logo : Dancing Beijing

The opening ceremony will be held in Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed "Bird Nest" which have a sitting capacity of over 90 000 people. The opening ceremony will begin at 8.pm ( China eh time ) today and there will be performance by well established artist such as Celine Dion and Jay Chau. The Olympic slogan this time is One World, One Dream which is to call upon the world to unite the Olympic spirit within!

As usual,
here are some pictures about what I'm talking about :

Beijing National Stadium : Bird Nest

Beijing National Aquatic Center : Water Cube

Inside the Water Cube

Do expect some crackers in the opening ceremony :

kind of cool rite?

The stadium is on fire!

I like this the most

And if you're going to China for the games,
please be extra careful with signs :

Wow where?

Why so serious?

Then feed with what?

So China,
ARE U READY??

Other News :

- Some Chinese sites are pointing out that the no.8 actually brings bad luck rather than good.

- The snow storm struck on 1-25. The numbers added together: 1+2+5 = 8.

- The Tibet rioting broke out on 3-14: 3+1+4 = 8.

- Finally the earthquake hit on 5-12: 5+1+2 = 8. The day the earthquake struck marked 88 days to go before the Olympics open on Aug. 8.
